About CME Europe
Amanda Lee established CME Books Europe on her return from Hong Kong, where she worked at an international school with the authors of the Chinese Made Easy series, Yamin Ma and Xinying Li. She is keen to promote Chinese language learning at schools and for individuals across Europe.
"Our research showed a considerable lack of resources for teaching
or learning Mandarin Chinese in the UK and Europe. With China being regarded
as potentially the biggest global market this century, European businesses
are looking to expand into China. This means the demand for Chinese speakers,
and therefore schools teaching Chinese with excellent resources, is greatly
on the increase".
About the Authors
Ms Yamin Ma has an M.Ed. in Curriculum Design and Development from Queen's University, Canada. Her research interest lies in educational psychology, ESL and Chinese language teaching and learning. She regularly attends international conferences and publishes articles in books.
Ms Xinying Li holds a postgraduate diploma in Applied Linguistics from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China.
Both authors have teaching experience in China and abroad, and are currently teaching Chinese in an international school in Hong Kong.
